Find Your Place

We know it’s been a while since we last made a post, but I promise it was for a good reason. Finals week hit us hard, but we’re back and we had the most perfect day. Remember that hike that we talked about in our last post? Well you should be proud of us, we actually went on that hike!! We know, what a momentous time it was.

We climbed on a tree trunk over a lake, jumped on rocks to cross a river and even took some pretty dope picks if we do say so ourselves. Now, we’ll be honest, we in fact did have a couple mishaps. Chanté was scared out of her mind climbing on the tree and I almost fell backwards off the mountain (which could have been VERY bad).

Nonetheless, this park was the most incredible place that we have ever been to. We spent hours walking around, venturing new places and even meeting some pretty cool people along the way.

This is our place.

The air was fresher, the people were nicer, the trees were greener. Everything just seemed better. We had been having a pretty stressful few weeks up until this point. Life was hitting us hard. But the moment we stepped out on to that trail, everything seemed to disappear. It was like it was just us and nature. No distractions.

Instantly we felt better about ourselves. We were no longer stressed about school and life. Everything seemed to just make sense.

What we’re trying to say is find that place that makes you happy. Find that place where you can just clear your mind and be free. Whether it be just for a few minutes, a few hours or even a few days. Find that place that will free you and make you feel better. We walked away from our hike feeling better than we when arrived, which is more than we could have asked for.

Our place is 2,042 acres of nature. Where’s yours?

With Love,

Chanel & Chanté Jay
